Pastor Gina’s Weekly Update

Communications news at TWC | Playlist series continues

What a great week here at Trinity! Last Sunday, we had 6 people surrender their hearts to Jesus! We celebrate with all of heaven! This is why we do what we do: to see people come to a full life in Jesus Christ! I continue to be amazed at what God is doing at Trinity. Thank you for your faithfulness to give of your time, talent, and treasure for His Kingdom’s sake.

This month our ministry partner is Lehigh Valley Children’s Advocacy Center. If you would like to donate items, we will drop them off. We love partnering with our ministry partners each month in effort to help meet the needs of those in our community.  I have added the list of items the CAC is currently in need of at the end of the email.  You can also pick up a list at the Welcome Center this weekend.

Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength… they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

This week I have been mediating on this scripture – that those who trust in the Lord will find new strength, not grow weary or faint. What a promise! I have no doubt that this week has held many different things for many of you. Some have celebrated the birth of new babies, while others mourn the loss of a loved one. Some celebrate while others mourn, but all of us who trust in the Lord can rest in him no matter what our days hold. My prayer is that this week, you fell in love with Jesus a little more, that you found him to be all that you need in every circumstance, and that you are trusting him more and more.

As you know, there are so many exciting things happening here at Trinity. As a church staff, we talk often about making sure we are communicating well with all of you. Our website is in the process of being made new, so that you can find things easier and be informed of all that is going on at Trinity. If you would like to make an appointment with me, please contact the church office and Pastor Cassie will be happy to help you get that on my calendar. We love hearing from you and are doing our best to answer all emails, text and Facebook messages in a timely manner. Our policy is that we will return all communications within 24 hours during office hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00-2:00, Friday 9:00-12:00. If you need immediate attention, please don’t hesitate to call the church office, and know that all voicemail is forwarded immediately to the Pastor On Call.

This Sunday we continue the series Playlist – a modern day look at songs from our culture with a Biblical truth. Don’t miss out- Invite someone to join you! We have a seat for you! Be here early so you don’t miss a single thing!

I can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday!

Kidventure Camp recap | Playlist series continues

What an incredible week at Trinity! Operation Arctic was a huge success. Each night, I was amazed at the many volunteers who showed up to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our children and their families. It was awesome to meet some new families and to see each child learning more about Jesus. This week is yet another example of why we do what we do: reaching One Percent of the Lehigh Valley with the love of Jesus Christ, to disciple and show them who Jesus is and how he can transform their life. Thank you to all who gave their time.

Tonight, don’t miss the last night of Operation Arctic at our Kidventure Camp Closing Ceremony! It is for all families and people at Trinity! There will be yummy food, games, Operation Arctic songs, and a movie on the outfield. Come out and support our kids and their family. We will kick off with a cookout at 6:30, followed by our ceremony. The movie starts at dusk. Bring a side to share and your lawn chairs or a blanket.

This Sunday we will continue our Series Playlist: Modern Day Parables to the Music of the Day. Don’t come alone! Bring someone with you. Show up early, have a cup of coffee, and encourage someone around you.

Immediately following the 11:00 service, the Young Adults will be going to lunch at Fiesta Ole. It will be a great way for you to connect with new friends and invite others to join you.

There are so many exciting things happening at Trinity! Keep praying that God will continue to use us to do great things in the Lehigh Valley!

I can’t wait to worship with you all!

Pastor Gina’s Weekly Update

2016 is almost over! What a year we have had at Trinity!

On January 1, 2017, we will have one service at 11:00 a.m. and on that day we will review 2016 and look ahead to what God has next for us. We will start a new series, Just Sayin’…It will be a great way kick off to your new year.

I can’t wait to share my “One Word” for 2017 with you. I am excited about what lessons God will teach me through this word in the upcoming year. In 2016, my word was TRUST. God taught me so much and gave me plenty of opportunities to trust Him more.

As you probably know, Trinity is growing and many great things are happening around the Church and in the Lehigh Valley because of our obedience. And with growth comes growing pains. Throughout the year our team constantly reviews our budget to ensure we are being good stewards of the generosity of those we serve who give faithfully each week. Sometimes budget adjustments must be made so that we continue to operate on mission of reaching one percent of the Lehigh Valley for Christ.

Mary Cerullo has served Trinity faithfully for many years, and as a leadership team and church, we appreciate all that she has done. Her heart for the Lord is contagious. She is no longer working in the church office, but will continue to serve as a board member and attend Trinity. When you see Mary, please thank her for her service, or send her a card of gratitude. We love Mary and look forward to continuing to work and worship with her.

Would you consider a giving a year end gift to Trinity this year? Our goal is to pay off some debt so we can move forward in pursuing the mission God has given us. Every dollar given in year end giving will be put toward debt, just mark your gift YEAR-END. You can give online HERE (select Year End from the list of funds).

2017 is going to be a great year, and I can’t wait to celebrate 2016 with all of you on January 1! Be there and invite someone to join you!

Radically Hopeful!

The noise of life, Elephant House, Small groups kickoff soon

This week my cell phone needed to be restored to manufacturer settings. This means that I had to reinstall all of my apps and re-sync contacts and all of those great things.  Within 24 hours, I noticed something. My phone was beeping and vibrating all the time! I was constantly checking it.  I began to wonder why it was stressing me out – what had changed? Then it dawned on me – I had not shut off all the notifications for all the apps.

We can easily be distracted by the noise of our lives and the lives of others. We have to be intentional about shutting out distractions so that we can enjoy our lives, our family, our community.   Maybe this week you have found yourself a little too stressed out about the noise of life and its time to disconnect for a few minutes this weekend and connect with the One who created us and those we love the most…face to face.

This Sunday we will be in Week 2 of Elephant House. If you missed last week, you can get caught up here.  This week we will be looking at Jealousy and the effects of belittling and belonging. Don’t miss it…and bring someone with you! It’s that important!

There is a lot happening here at Trinity! Small groups will kick off the first week of October. Look for sign-ups in the café over the next couple of Sundays. There is a group for everyone, so be sure to find a group to grow in.

I look forward to worshiping with you all this week!

My new planner, Worship on the Outfield

I recently bought a new planner. I was so excited to have my calendar so that I could fill it out and be ready for all that I had “planned.” Then the unexpected – the unplanned – happens. A large mass was found on my mother’s brain on Wednesday afternoon and removed a day later. This week was not written in my planner, yet I know it did not surprise God.

In Proverbs it says, “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, text messages, calls, meals and support. My mom is doing amazing considering all that she has been through this week and we know this is a miracle and because of your prayers! The surgery went as well as could be expected and she is recovering. God is good!

Don’t forget this Sunday is Worship on the Outfield at 10:00 a.m.. Bring your lawn chair, a side to share, a towel and come ready to worship and have fun!  Invite someone to join you.

Next week, September 13th, we begin the Elephant House series. You won’t want to miss it! I can’t wait to worship with you all this weekend!

> Worship on the Outfield – September 6 @ 10:00 a.m.
Elephant House sermon series begins September 13 – You won’t want to miss it!
> Coffee with the Pastor – September 15 @ 7:00 p.m.
