My Story: I was raised in a ministry family – our family traveled in church work holding revivals and camp meetings throughout the Midwest and Northeast. I attended college in Kansas City and began ministry as a volunteer in the church. My career in Information Technology began in 1994 and I was actively engaged in serving the local church as a member. In 2008, God asked me to take a leap of faith and serve as Worship & Creative Arts Pastor at BreakPointe Community Church in Overland Park, Kansas, before joining Trinity Wesleyan Church in August 2014. This chapter of ministry has been an extremely rewarding journey and I am excited to see where God leads.
Favorite Scripture:1 Chronicles 29:10-13 (NLT)
Then David praised the lord in the presence of the whole assembly:“O lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever! Yours, O lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. “O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!”
Family: Married to Gina (19+ years), Four children (Brooklyn, Jordan, Colton & Kailyn)…and a dog (Brandi) who thinks she owns the place.
Hobbies: I‘m a coffee snob…I admit it. I was born into the Indiana Hoosier family, so cream and crimson runs in my blood and seems to have made it’s way down another generation to my sons. A round of golf, even when my score approaches that of a 90’s era NBA team, is always relaxing. I love music – a very wide variety – and enjoy making music with boys.
Favorite part of my job/ministry: I love seeing a group of people connect with God in new ways. When a song, video or creative piece communicates God‘s truth in a clear and fresh way, it’s like a reset button gets pushed. It’s extremely rewarding!
